Yes. The Kazcon rail siding is located approximately 50 meters from our main gate. This allows for efficient rail movement to and from Durban, reducing road congestion and improving cargo flow efficiency.

What types of cargo can you handle?

We handle bulk minerals (chrome, manganese, copper concentrate, lithium, etc.), bagged minerals, steel and industrial metals, agricultural commodities, fertilizers and industrial materials, timber, project cargo, and containerised imports and exports. Each cargo type is assessed to ensure safe handling and correct allocation within the facility.

Yes. Bulk minerals are one of our primary focus sectors. We manage stockpiling, handling, weighing, container packing (including open-top containers), and rail dispatch to Durban.

With continuous rail and container rotation, the facility can support 150,000MT to 250,000MT per month, depending on cargo type and flow model.

Yes. We position Kascon as a Southern African consolidation hub, allowing regional exporters to move cargo inland, consolidate, and dispatch via rail to Durban.

How does the rail process work from Kascon to Durban?

Cargo is consolidated and prepared at Kascon. Once containerised or scheduled for bulk movement, containers are transferred to the Kazcon rail siding located 50 meters from our gate. From there, cargo moves via scheduled rail services to Durban for port handling and vessel loading.
